Vimbai on new reality show

After spreading her wings to Nollywood in the last few years the star of model and actress Vimbai Mutinhiri continues to rise with a co-hosting gig on new Africa Magic reality show, Tecno Own the Stage, adding to her growing list of achievements.

The former Zimbabwean representative in the Big Brother house made her debut on the show that has been dubbed Africaa��s first televised karaoke show a fortnight ago.

The show, a brainchild of Tecno and Africa Magic, sees talented karaoke singers from across the continent battling it out for a prize pool of $50, 000 and an opportunity to record a song and go on tour with a renowned musical act.

Over three months, 15 contestants drawn from Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania will contest via a number of themed challenges with one person ultimately emerging as Africaa��s first karaoke champion.

The third place winner takes home $10, 000 and a Tecno Phantom 5 smart phone, while the second place winner wins $15, 000, a Tecno Phantom 5 smart phone and three month internship opportunity with renowned record label.

The first place winner wins a grand prize of $25, 000, a Phantom 5 smartphone, and the chance to record a song with one of the judges. The winner will also get the chance to record a music video and tour with a popular musical act.

The Zimbabwean model cum actress has been on the rise in the last few years, capitalising on her much coveted stint on the Big Brother reality show.

Besides her role as a presenter on the show, Mutinhiri also assumed an executive producer position on the show.

Fellow Big Brother contestant Uti Nwachukwu was the previous host.
