CRICKET franchise side Matabeleland Tuskers have named an unchanged side to face log leaders Mashonaland Eagles when the two clash in a Pro50 Championship match at the Old Hararians Sports Club on Monday.
Buoyed by a fine performance after beating the Mid West Rhinos by six wickets at the Kwekwe Sports Club last week, the Tuskers travel to the capital city with the sole mandate of securing a win against the Eagles.
The Tuskers have lost one match in the Pro50 Championship going down by 31 runs to the Manicaland Mountaineers at the Mutare Sports Club a fortnight ago.
Tuskers assistant coach Pollock Mubobo said the team hopes to continue where they left off in Kwekwe.
a?After the initial defeat to Manicaland Mountaineers we realised that our batting is an area of concern and we obviously needed to work on that. The guys (top order) have been opening for the past seasons so we just need to concentrate harder and play to our strengthsa?, said Mubhobho.
He conceded that it will not be easy beating the Eagles, a side with a 100% win record.
a?They are a good balanced team and it will not be easy to go there and try to snatch a wina?, he said.
After the match in Harare the Tuskers will be looking at capitalising on home advantage at the Queens Sports Club with matches against the Mountaineers and Mid West Rhinos on 3 and 13 December respectively.
The Tuskers will round off their Pro50 Championship campaign when they play host to the Eagles on 6 January next year.
