ZIFA Central Region Division One League is set to resume from a two-week break with an enthralling match set when Tongogara take on Gweru City in the top of the table clash on Saturday.
The mid-season break came as a relief to most teams but to some of the chasing pack it was seen as a distraction to the form that the teams had struck.
Tongogara, who sit on third position will take on newcomers Gweru City who are fourth on the log.
The two teams are among the three who are tied on 25 points but Tongogara have a healthier goal difference as they have conceded four less goals than their opponents.
The army side will boast of home advantage as they will be at their fountain of hope, their fortress, the Battlefields, where most teams have found it hard to collect points or claim victory serve for the Midlands State University who managed to win against all odds.
It will be a tough battle at Battlefields for the Gweru based outfit, who like their hosts are smarting from the back of a similar margin defeat of a one goal to nil.
Both teams are looking to step up their game and fight for the sole spot for next yearas Premiership berth and starting on a fresh note as there are fresher from the break.
The hosts will be favourites to win the game because of their good home record and also the experience which they have gathered over the years plying their trade in the same division.
In other matches, second placed ZRP Beitbridge will also look to consolidate their position and put pressure on the leaders Whawha when they come up against FC Platinum U-19 in Beitbridge at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
The Beitbridge team are the only team that defeated the log leaders Whawha in the first half of the season as the other defeat was due to failure to pay affiliation fees and the points were handed to Tongogara.

Vumbachikwe will play host to log leaders Whawha in Gwanda in a match that the prison guards hope to win.
