Tanya gets African Awards nod

A talented motocross rider Tanya Muzinda (14) has been nominated for an Award for the African Children of The Year Awards in South Africa.

Tanya is the first female Zimbabwean in motocross history to have won a championship race.

The motocross rider won an award for junior sportswoman of the year at the 2015 edition of the Annual Sports Awards.

The Stacy Fru Foundation awards will recognise African children from the ages of 7 to 13 years who are contributing positively to their communities, country and continent.

Stacey Fru is a 11-year-old multiple award winning South African author who wrote her first book at the age of 7 years old.

Stacey Frua��s influence has given her Great Honour to be the custodian of the African Children Of The Year Awards (ACYA).

a�?Ia��m very honoured that they recognise what I am doing and it is very memorable,a�? said Tanya.

The young rider won a bronze medal as she finished third at the 2017 HL Racing British Master Kids Motocross Championships in England.

ACYA will be held in November.
