OKAY boys, letas do this!
One of Swazilandas King Mswatias wives is set to grace the Royal Cup match between Highlanders and Swazilandas giants Manzini Wanderers in March.
Initially the match had been pencilled for this Saturday but the organisers a the Royal Cup Trust a were forced to postpone after Bosso pulled out citing non-commitment on the part of the organisers to meet the clubas requirements.
Highlanders had asked the organisers to guarantee payment of players camping fees and appearance fees as well as disclosing the prize package for the cup.
After much haggling Bosso pulled out and instead went to South Africa for a five-day training camp in Polokwane, Limpopo Province.
Now the Royal Cup Trust has set a new date for the match and remains hopeful that the Bulawayo giants will come on board to take on the Swazi team on 19 March.
a?There were a lot of misconceptions that there was bad blood between Highlanders and the Royal Cup Trust which led to the club pulling out of the match but the reasons why the game did not go ahead were beyond everyoneas control.
a?We are attending to the issues that were raised by Highlanders as well as engaging the relevant authorities to bring Manzini Wanderers into the country,a? said Royal Cup Trust chief executive officer Nkosilathi Ndiweni.
The Sports and Recreation Commission authorises the hosting of a foreign team in the country while the match should also be sanctioned by Zifa and the Premier Soccer League.
The Highlanders executive is on record saying that the club would not turn down taking part in any tournaments as long as the institution benefits from such events.
