Simpsons gets some African flavour

Despite some brutal reviews over the past two seasons, The Simpsons has re-energised its 26th season with two new characters: a father and daughter from Nigeria. While the notion of the pair being Nigerian royalty is a little stereotypical, it seems the writing team has done some solid work to make the show more cosmopolitan a and Princess Kemi, who falls in love with cranky bartender Moe, is a conduit for a new world of ideas and literature.
