PROTON Bakery has entered into a partnership with Bulawayo Pool Association (BPA) ahead of the associationas two-day Easter teamsa tournament on Good Friday and Easter Saturday at eight separate venues dotted in and around the city.

Proton Bakery sales and marketing manager Simba Bodzo said they were going to give hampers to 10 members of the winning team and dress all the tournamentsa umpires and officials with Proton branded T-shirts.

a?We are going to give 10 big Proton Bakery hampers to the 10 members of the tournamentas eventual winners. We are also going to dress the tournamentas umpires and other officials. It is a way of giving back to the community and this is not the first time that we have supported sports in the country,a? said Bodzo whose Marondera-based bakery has just penetrated the Bulawayo market.

a?Last year, Proton Bakery dressed Lady Cheetahs when they went for their rugby tour in Ireland. We also gave Proton bread to boxer Charles Manyuchi on a daily basis from April to December last year.
