Nust close in on Fox FC

SECOND placed Nust Academic Stars closed in on log leaders Fox FC in the Pensions Knitwear Five A Side Southern Region soccer league.
Nust collected 12 points last weekend to take their tally to 36 from 16 games, two points behind Fox FC, who have played 14 games and were inactive this past weekend.

Nust were in ruthless form as they posted emphatic wins over their opponents. They beat Cowdray Park Eagles 13-2, Amabhubesi 9-3, FC Roma 10-0 and Munyoro United 3-0.

They will seek to continue putting pressure on log leaders as they take on fifth placed Fog Stars this weekend.

Fox FC clash with fourth placed Wanguwangu. FC Amabhubesi moved one place up the standings to third position toppling Wanguwangu.

They played three games winning 3-0 against Munyoro, drawing 6-6 against Cowdray Park before losing their last match 9-3 to Fog Stars.

They are on 21 points from 12 matches while Wanguwangu are on 17 points from the 13 matches they have played.

Fog Starsa�� win over Amabhubesi catapulted them to fifth position from seventh with 10 points from 9 games.

In other matches, bottom of the log Roma were beaten 9-6 by Cowdray Park before recovering to post a 3-0 win over Munyoro United.
