My granny is a witch a woman claims

Longina Chaka
A NJUBE woman wants nothing to do with her grandmother because a prophet saw a vision of the old lady bewitching her.
Praise Moyo (24) had been ill for some time and her grandmother Khethiwe Dube took care of her in time of need. However, Moyo said all along her grandmother had a hand in her illness.

a?I have been warned by a prophet not to accept anything from her as she is after my life. I believed what he (prophet) said. I cannot divulge every detail to the press because itas a family issue that needs attention of family members not the public,a? said Moyo.

Moyo had been ill for two months and the symptoms indicate that she had been giving out bitter brownish-yellow or greenish-yellow secretion produced by her liver.

When Dube came back to town from her rural home in Lupane just to check on her sick granddaughter, she brought with her foodstuffs. Little did she know that she was a persona non grata.

a?I took the food, prayed and then sprinkled it with salt before throwing it outside,a? Moyo said.
Since then Moyo has broken communication with Dube.

a?I was even advised not to answer her calls, and I am planning to go with other family members so they could hear it from the prophet on their own,a? she added.

For Dube it is not a big issue. She only hopes that her granddaughter would come back to her senses.
a?It happened but itas not an issue because I am not angry with her. I pray that one day it will become clear to her that I am not a witch,a? said Dube.

Dube is Moyoas maternal grandmother.
