LACK of money as motivation will not be an excuse for players when the two money bags — Ngezi Platinum and FC Platinum engage in a battle of supremacy in the log at Baobab Stadium this weekend.
Both teams have one thing in common; they have one loss, courtesy of the new boys Bulawayo Chiefs.
Bulawayo Chiefs seems to be the team that specialises on derailing the money bags from maintaining their flawless strings of unbeaten victories.
But Tonderai Ndiraya’s (pictured above) men will be looking to redeem themselves as they are still mesmerised by last weekend’s defeat.
Madamburo, as they are known, had gone for fourteen matches without losing and the encounter is probably their worst so far in this campaign.
The Mhondoro-based side will be missing three of their first team men, after Clive Augusto and Xolisani Moyo received red cards in their last match against Bulawayo Chiefs.
Augusto who had came in as a sub was the first to be sent off moments after the hour, having featured in the game for nine minutes.
Moyo was expelled in the 81st minute for a second bookable offence. Both teams sit at the apex of the log at 38 points, with only a one goal difference, placing Ngezi Platinum at position one.
Their Saturday encounter will determine who will be at the top of the table.
