Mighty Warriors gaffer Sithethelelwe a?Kwinji 15a? Sibanda says her charges were handed a challenging draw in the 2018 Cosafa Womenas Championships which roar into life at South Africaas Nelson Mandela Bay on 12 September.

Zimbabwe were champions in 2011 but lost to South Africa in the final on home soil last year, and in 2018 have another tough first round draw.

The Mighty Warriors open their Group C campaign against Namibia on 13 September before a clash with Swaziland the following day and then a final fixture against East Africa guest nation Uganda who are coming from a Cecafa contest.

a?We are going there to fight. We have a mountain to climb as we are in a tough group. Our opponents are not pushovers,a? said Sibanda.

Only the top team in each group will advance to the semi-finals, along with the best-placed runner-up.

There are 12 countries that have been grouped into three pools of four that have hosts South Africa, Botswana, Madagascar, and MalawiA in Group A while Zambia, Lesotho and Mozambique are in Group B.

Womenas football in Zimbabwe has seen a recovery in recent years after the side won the Southern African championship in 2011 and qualified for the Olympic Games football tournament in Brazil in 2016.
