Chineke! (Igbo word for God) my sister woo!A Former Zimbabweas Big Brother contestant Maneta Mazanhi is finally set to make her long awaited Nollywood debut, starring in the weekly Nigerian drama, The Lincolnas Clan.
The show airs every Friday on Africa Magic at 9:30 pm.

The controversial reality TV star turned actress has been promising big upcoming Nollywood appearance since she started seriously pursuing her acting career last year.

In an interview with our sister paper, the Chronicle last year, the actress revealed that she had her eye firmly set on an acting career, with appearances in Nollywood high on her list of priorities.

a?I acted in three Nigerian movies which are yet to be released. I canat say much on my roles in these movies because my directors advised me not to say much until the productions are finished. But when itas done, I will share it on Twitter. It is a continuous contract and I am still shooting,a? she said.

True to her word, the actress posted the news of her appearance in this and future seasons of the show on the social network on Saturday, saying that she would be playing the character of Simi on the show.

The role was previously set to be played by Nigeriaas Oghenekaro Itene, an actress who featured in Shattered Mirror, The Riches, In between the Lines among other Nollywood productions.

Starring veteran actor Norbert Young, Doris Simeon, Thandekile Maseko, Dineo Mofammere, Remi Oyekunle, Alex Ganzallo and others, The Lincolnas Clan project is mainly centred on South Africa and Nigeria, with the tribulations of the Lincoln family empire taking centre stage in both countries.

Shot in various locations between the two countries, Lincolnas Clan portrays a Nigerian clan called The Lincolns, a rich family that is used to getting its way in whatever it does.

However, the familyas grip on power is threatened by a struggle between its two heirs in waiting, a struggle that begins to consume the familyas daily life.

The screen-play series was written by Adekunle Salawu, with episodes directed by Ola Kris Akinola and Chuma Ikeazor while Oluseyi Adebanjo was the executive producer.
