Man hangs self at Bulawayo Shelter

IN a suspected case of suicide a Bulawayo man was found hanging from a tree behind his place of residence at the Bulawayo Shelter in Thorngrove suburb.

The tragic incident which was confirmed by the police happened on Tuesday at around 8pm.

The deceased, Alfonce Sibanda (41) was found hanging from a tree by a security guard.

It is reported that the deceased was last seen on Tuesday at around 5pm at the Bulawayo Shelter where he was staying with some of the tenants who did not suspect anything when he left his room as they thought he was behind the kitchen where he usually spent time.

It is further reported that at around 7pm when they discovered that he was not in his room they launched a manhunt.

Shockingly Sibanda’s lifeless body was found dangling from a tree within the premises. A report was later made at Mzilikazi Police Station.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango confirmed the incident.

“We are investigating a case of a man who committed suicide at Bulawayo Shelter. We are yet to know the cause of his death.”
