WHEN a man is fed up, he is capable of anything!
The above phrase might be making sense to a woman from Bulawayoas Pumula South suburb whose husband tried to break her leg after catching her with a boyfriend for the second time in their house.
The woman, Nozipho Mdlawuzwo (30), was allegedly beaten up by her husband Mativeza Chirombe for allegedly having illicit affairs.
Chirombe, in a bid to discipline his wife reportedly attacked her with a brick on the left leg.
Prosecutor Mr Kingstone Mkangamwi told the court that on 23 July, the couple had a misunderstanding and Chirombe accused his wife of cheating on him.
The man reportedly armed himself with a brick and hit the woman on the left leg.
She reported the matter to the police leading to the accusedas arrest and she was referred to hospital for medical examination.
Chirombe was hauled before Western Commonage magistrate Sheunesu Matova facing physical abuse charges.
He pleaded guilty to the charges. He said he failed to control his temper after he caught his wife with a boyfriend for the second time in their house.
Chirombe left the court a happy man as he escaped custodial sentence.
The magistrate slapped him with five months imprisonment which was wholly suspended for three years on condition he does not commit a crime of similar nature.
