King Mswatia��s sINCOMING SADC chairperson His Majesty King Mswati III has commended Sihlangu Semnikati for its massive improvement in international tournaments and prayed for this regiona��s sports success at the 2022 Olympic Games including a Swazi gold medal.
Speaking during the Kinga��s Golf Cup and SADC Summit donations held at the Lozitha Royal Palace last week, the King said the Sihlangu was on the right path to success.
a�?We are very happy with the performance of our national team in recent competitions where they made us proud by bringing home a bronze medal. We hope they will build from that performanceA�A� and continue doing well in all competitions thus market the country.a�?
The King further said he was confident that the nationa��s pride would continue doing well on the international scene as they were still to face Malawi in the AFCON qualifiers on September 4.
a�?Hard work and dedication is the key to success and I am positive the team will prepare well and be strong for future competitions. They must continue making the country proud,a�? the King added.
He encouraged the players to keep on working hard and further implored the nation to support the national team.
Sihlangu made history in May after clinching the first bronze medal at senior national team level during the 2016 COSAFA Castle Cup where they beat guest nation DR Congo 1-0 in the losersa�� finals.

He then called for the implementation of a five-year strategic plan that would help the country reap success during the Olympic Games.
