WARRIORS midfield talisman Kudakwashe Mahachi who is currently on loan to Absa Premiership club Golden Arrows says he still needs to work on his fitness levels after making an impressive debut appearance for Abafana Besithende last weekend.
a?As you saw in my first game I need to work on my fitness as I have not been playing. I need to step up a little bit and I think this team is good for me,a? said Mahachi adding that he is hungry to play football and feels Golden Arrows fits his style perfectly.
The 22-year-old Zimbabwean joined the Durban based club last month after being deemed surplus to requirements at Mamelodi Sundowns.
He made an immediate impact for his new club in the 1-0 Telkom Knockout win against Ajax Cape Town but admits he needs to improve his match-fitness.
The former Chicken Inn and Highlanders player is thinking about his time at Mamelodi Sundowns.
a?I came here (Golden Arrows) to enjoy football; Arrows are a good team and Iam enjoying it. I still have a contract with Sundowns, so for now I came here to enjoy myself and the rest will follow. I donat want to talk about what happened there,a? said Mahachi who is fondly known as Nkembe.
Arrows face defending champions SuperSport United in the next round of the Telkom Knockout while their next league game is against Bloemfontein Celtic on October 17.
Mahachi took Sundowns to the Mzansias Premier Soccer League DRC in order to get his clearance from the club due to the lack of game-time at Chloorkop and won the case subsequently.
