IF you spend your time hoping someone will suffer the consequences for what they did to your heart, then you are allowing them to hurt you a second time in your mind!

These words apply to a Bulawayo man, an ex-cop who is reportedly threatening to gun down his ex-wife as punishment for divorcing him.

Sibonokuhle Mlotshwa from Richmond said from the day she filed for divorce against her husband Tshaka Mlotshwa she has never known peace as the latter always threatens her with murder.

Sibonokuhle said she was living in fear as her estranged husband is also in the habit of stalking her wherever she goes.

She appealed to Bulawayo magistrate Manasa Musiiwa sitting at the Bulawayo Civil Court to protect her from Tshaka by granting a protection order against him.

a?I was married to Tshaka (Mlotshwa) in terms of the Marriages Act Chapter 5:11 but our marriage has since broken down and we have a pending divorce case at the Bulawayo High Court.

a?He is always insulting me with vulgar language and stalking me while threatening to kill me. He threatened to kill me with a pistol and burn down our house as a way of fixing me for filing for divorce,a? said Sibonokuhle.

She further told the court that he swore he was prepared to go to jail after killing her.

Tshaka who apparently feared the humiliation of a trial did not come to court leading the presiding magistrate to grant an order in favour of Sibonokuhle in which he ordered him not to stalk, verbally or physically threaten her in any way.
