City legal practitioner James Mutsauki has turned out of town joint, Green Haven, into a piece of heaven for lovers of the outdoors, live music and a relaxing atmosphere.Located 12km outside the City of Kings along the Vic Falls-Bulawayo road, the new joint caters for lovers of music in an outdoor set up, with live music complemented by the jointas serene and scenic backdrop, which is made even more beautiful by Umguza Dam.

The joint opened its doors last Saturday. In an interview Matsauki, who spent over a decade practicing law in Botswana said although he did not have an extensive background in the entertainment business, he was inspired to revive the joint which had been a personal favourite for him in the late 80s and early 90s.

a?I started coming to this place in the 80s when it was still run by our now Transport Minister, Obert Mpofu. Since he left, it has gone through several hands and I have seen standards decline which is why I have decided to take control since I am now back in Zimbabwe permanently,a? he said.

Matsauki said his ultimate desire was to see the place become the cityas spot of choice for couples that wanted to tie the knot, as its scenic beauty made it suitable for holding events of a grand nature.

a?I would love to see the place become where people can hold events such as weddings because I have a background in catering and hosting. We are still in the process of refurbishing the place so a lot is in store for those that will frequent Green Haven in the near future,a? he said.

Besides the scenic backdrop that is the placeas main attraction, it also houses a bar, a stage for live performances and guesthouses.
