AFTER a heated argument with her friends gospel musician Busisiwe Dube (15) drank rat poison and died.
Dube, who started singing with Sisters of Paradise in 2013 at the tender age of 10 took her life on her birthday.
According to a family insider Busisiwe had a heated argument with her friends over an undisclosed issue last Saturday in South Africa where she was based.
However, things took a nasty turn on her birthday as she decided to consume rat poison. She died while being ferried to hospital.
The deceasedas mother Sweetness Dube said her daughter left a suicide note.
a?Iam devastated and at a loss for words as to why Busisiwe could do such a horrendous thing. I really wish she could have told me what was troubling her and together we would have found a solution.
She left a suicide note saying she was fed up with being reprimanded,a? she said.
When Sweetness got home from work, she found her daughter in pain as the rat poison had started working on her.
Sweetness said her daughter was doing Grade Nine and was a respectful child.
a?She was a courteous and humble child whom I did not have any problem with. To show my love for her I had bought her a birthday cake and presents but she decided to take her life on her birthday,a? said the heart-broken mother.
A fellow band mate Sithembiseni Sibanda aka Gospel Diva said the group had lost its most talented soul.
Sisters of Paradise have five albums and Dube features in all of them.
Their latest album is Ngiyohlala Ethembeni, before that they released Kulungile baba (2017), Sinjalo (2016) Ozayo ngena (2015), Mhla uJesu ebuya (2014).
