SIX schools are going to clash in the Zimbabwe Rugby Union (ZRU) womena��s committee organised national girls rugby finals at Bulawayoa��s Hartsfield Rugby Ground.
Matabeleland provincial development officer, George a�?Rolloa�� Mukorera said the schools have been split into two groupsA� and will play in a round robin format before progressing to the finals.
a�?Initially, we had wanted to have it (tournament) as a two-day event but due to the fact that we have few schools that are going to take part, it is now going be a one-day event,a�? said Mukorera
Hararea��s Girls High, Amhlophe and Msiteli were drawn to play in Group A while Vinona, Northlea and Sobukazi will make up Pool B.
The girls games will precede a robin clash that will feature three National Rugby League clubs Western Panthers, Old Miltonians and Busters who are seeking to stay in shape ahead of the return of league action next weekend.
NRL teams have had a month plus a week long break.
Meanwhile, Entumbane High were on Wednesday crowned champions in both Nash Under 16 and Under 19 finals that were played at Hartsfield Rugby ground.
In the Under 16 grouping, Entumbane beat St Columbus 15-5 in the final match.
Nkulumane automatically came out as number three while in the Under 19s category Entumbane thumped Hamilton 21-7 after extra time.
