Former Zimbabwe Cricket team coach Philip Simmons is suing his former paymasters for $300 000 in unpaid salaries and damages for unlawful termination of contract.
Simmons who is now the West Indies coach parted ways with the Chevrons in 2006 after a two-year stint. He now claims that his contracted was a�?unlawfullya�? terminated, though after a series of poor results.
During the West Indiana��s reign, Zimbabwe Cricket found itself defending its test status after losing to Bangladesh, a side which was regarded as the worst test side in the world.
Zimbabwe cricket through its media communications officer Lovemore Banda declined to shed light into the issue.
a�?We cannot comment about this issue as the matter is before the courts,a�? Banda said.
