Evans goes international for second season

While his show was lauded as a breakthrough when it made its debut on Zambezi Magic last year, Arthur Evans is not banking on past success, as instead of resting on his laurels the multi-talented TV show host has enlisted a few international stars to light up the second season.

The second season of the show will again be shown on DStv, with Evans confirming that they already had an agreement with the broadcast giant and they also managed to lure a sponsor that is yet to be named.

“We’ve already got an agreement in principle with DStv and also secured sponsorship. The broadcast times and everything else will be revealed soon,” Evans said in an interview.

After the runaway success of the Arthur Evans Show’s first season, many have been wondering how the suave TV presenter and radio host would top last year’s debut run. Earlier this year, Evans said the show would be broadening its horizons with this in mind, as it looked to attract viewers from other countries, particularly Zambia where it draws a large percentage of its viewership.

“We had scheduled to interview a couple of Zambian personalities including Michelle Lungu and a few others but due to the fact that we got our sponsorship later than we had planned we had to forgo that.”

“However, for the new season we will be interviewing a few celebrities and personalities from that country,” he said.

Evans confirmed that the show would be indeed going international in the second season.

“What is basically left for us is to pay our service providers and wrap up a few interviews. We’re only left with international interviews now and wrapping up a few loose ends then the new season would be good to go,” he said.
