Dj Radix a�?next big thing in the African music scenea��

IMINYELA-bred fast rising music producer Malcom Ncube otherwise known as DJ Radix has been tipped by South African hip-hop big guns as the next big thing in the African music scene after his recent single proved to be a hit.

The Bulawayo boy, who is based in Johannesburg successfully released his single titled Mash Up Mi Mind which featured Zimbabwea��s finest chanter Buffalo Souljah, Makwa and Gobi Beast last Friday at Baseline.

Soon after it was uploaded on different music sites like SoundCloud and iTunes, the love song caught the attention of many fans that fell in love with the track.

South African optimum hip-hop producers and rappers including former Cash Time Life rapper Kid X, DJ Capital, DJ Milkshake from 5FMa��s ultimate mix and DJ Dimples, are some of the big guns in the hip-hop scene who appreciated the song as a master piece.

Kid X posted on Twitter, a�?This song Mash Up by Radix is a dope tunea�?.

DJ Capital who is one of Radixa��s partners in beat making also posted, a�?The song is fire, a good combination of rappers on the track, nice work Radix you the next big thing in African hip-hopa�?.

Apart from the positive reception the single has received so far, the soft spoken Radix revealed more is yet to come from his first album which will be released later this year.

a�?I am humbled with the reception of the single because it hasna��t started playing on different radio stations but the fact that ita��s already the centre of the talk in different social media shows that fans appreciate the work I am doing.

a�?The creativity of the song was mainly to bridge a gap between South African and Zimbabwean music as it was sung in different native languages like Shona, Zulu, SeTswana and obviously English,a�? said Radix.

As he is successful in the neighbouring country, Radix is willing to work with Zimbabwean-based artistes to maintain a connection in his country. He revealed he was concluding a deal to work with the Harare-based multi award winning rapper Takura on another single.

In his career so far, Radix has produced for big names in the South African hip-hop scene like JR, Stillo Magolide, and Reason of the No Sleep fame.
