Division One strikers hit double digit mark

THE extra $200 incentive announced by Zifa Southern Region league sponsor a Nokel Security Services a for the player that scores 22 or more goals at the end of the season seems to be working with two strikers having hit the double digit goal tally so far.

Fortune Nkomazana and Tashinga Mungadzi of Bantu Rovers and Black Boots respectively have netted 10 goals each with 11 matches left before the end of the 2016 season.

Long time Zifa Southern Region league sponsor Kenneth Mhlophe bankrolls the top goal scorer of the month award to the tune of $150.

In July the Nokel Security Services director dangled a $200 cheque to the player that hits 22 goals or more by the end of the year in addition to the traditional $150 awarded to the overall season top goal scorer.

Itas now up to Nkomazana, Mungadzi or any other player in the league to prove they have what it takes to net 22 goals or more and pocket a cool $350 at the end of the 2016 campaign.

Nkomazana received his Nokel Security Services top goal scorer for the month for banging four goals inA August before Bantu Rovers played host to Bulawayo Chiefs at Luveve Stadium last Saturday.

Unfortunately his team lost 0-1 to their neighbours that afternoon.

a?Itas every strikeras dream to set a Division One record by scoring 22 or more goals at the end of the season. Iam happy with the 10 goals I have scored so far but honestly I have to work really hard to get to the 22-goal mark,a? said Nkomazana.
