Celebrities take a stand against xenophobia

Thousands of people marched through Durban last Thursday to protest against anti-immigrant violence that has left six people dead and spread to the economic capital Johannesburg.Well known personalities such as Nandi Mngoma, Zakes Bantwini, DJ Spectacula, Papa Penny, Tony Kgorokge and Zikhona Zodlaka joined the protest and made their views on the recent attacks on foreigners known.

About 4 000 people marched through Durban, chanting a�?Down with xenophobia!a�? and a�?A United Africaa�? at an event attended by residents, students and local religious and political leaders.
