FOR long, it has always been an unending debate in the local music fraternity to prove who is the best between Dancehall king Winky D and the man of the moment Jah Prayzah.
Even though the two artistes are singing different types of musical genres, they are always victims of comparison by the populace who are eager to know who is the real man in the local music scene.
With both artistes undoubtedly doing well considering their musical success, there is a thin line which can make one prove who is the reigning king of Zimbabwean music.
As Winky D is slated for a pre-Africa Day party on Thursday (24 May) at Hartsfield Tshisanyama, the gig will serve as a platform to prove if the Ngirozi hit-maker is more superior than Jah Prayzah, especially in Bulawayo.
As the adage goes, a?numbers never liea?, the crowds that Winky D will attract on the day of the show will be exclusive statistics that will either crown him as the best compared to Jah Prayzah who sold out a show last month at the same venue.
Winky D, who is a favourite to most university students, has a potential to fill up Hartsfield Tshisanyama bearing in mind that most students, especially from the National University of Science and Technology (Nust), will be done with their exams hence they will be free to relieve examination strains.
His epic performance at the Miss Nust show which was held in March will also be an advantage for him to fill up the venue as he gave the crowds who thronged the venue good value for their money as he staged a three-hour polished non-stop performance of his latest album Gombwe.
Mduduzi Mdlongwa from 3D Events, who are the organisers of the show, revealed that they decided to bring back Winky to the city for the third time this year as his music was relevant and has a massive following in Bulawayo.
a?Winky D has got a massive following in the city hence we decided to bring him back in Bulawayo so he can celebrate a pre-Africa Day with his fans,a? said Mduduzi.
DJ Liz, Crazy Dee, Eugy and Wellyonz will rotate on the decks.
