THE Bulawayo Metropolitan Cricket Association league enters its second week with a total of nine matches scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday.
In the second division, last yearas log anchors Lupane State University (LSU) won their first game against Nust and will be hoping to carry on their winning ways when they meet Queens Two who lost their first match to debutants BAC Two by 55 runs.
In other matches, Nketa Cricket Club who last week failed to play against ZRP due to the rain will be hoping to open their account with a win when they meet Nust who lost their first match.
Second league debutants, BAC Two are this week on standby after putting in a dazzling performance against Queens 2 in their opening match.
The debutants were in fine form posting a total of 141 runs all out in 19 overs with Mike Mhlanga hitting a score of 48 runs, two runs short of a half century. The team also capitalised on poor bowling from Queens which saw them collecting 37 runs from extras.
In the first league, defending champions Emakhandeni will play against Queens. The match promises to be an exciting encounter with both teams seeking to maintain a clean record after posting wins in their opening games.
Third Division-bound GlenkaraA continued with their poor form that saw them being demoted to third when they lost their opening match to Gampu Lions by eight wickets. They will be looking to bounce back in their second game when they meet Cheetahs who are yet to play a game this season.
