Brains on the tarmac in hit-and-run accident

IN a suspected hit and run accident, a 23-year-old man had his head smashed on the tarmac before his brains were scattered all over the road after being hit by speeding car on Wednesday morning.
Narrating the horrific accident to B-Metro, the grandmother of the late Mzingaye Valentine Gwizi, Emily Mpofu, said they were shocked by the way her grandson had died. The accident happened at Insuza, Umguza District, Matabeleland North province.

a�?Valentine had spent the entire day at church. When he came in the evening he asked me on how death is like and that shocked me. I warned him not to think about death as he was from church and he obliged. He then retired to bed,a�? said Mpofu.

a�?I was shocked on Wednesday morning when neighbours came and informed me that Valentine has passed on. When I got to the scene I was frightened to see his brains splattered on the ground. I had never seen such a horrendous thing in my life. We just hope justice will take its course to whoever had killed him,a�? she said.

She further said on the fateful day the deceased woke up at around 9pm and said he was taking a walk and the next thing they heard was his death.However efforts to get a coment from the deceaseda��s mother, Sazini Ndlovu, were fruitless as she was constantly crying.
