Boxing treat for Bulawayo

SIX visiting teams to be joined by local clubs have confirmed participation in the Bulawayo Amateur Boxing Association (BABA) organised tournament set for Mpopomaa��s Mathonisa Beer Garden on Saturday.

The tourney was initially pencilled for 10 September at the same venue but later postponed at the request of visiting teams.

Local boxers from Bulawayoa��s eight clubs Nketa, Nkulumane, Tshaka, Lobengula, Luvevea��s Percy, HQ One Brigade, Sikhulile and Bulawayo West will battle it out in different divisions against boxers from different parts of the country.

According to BABA spokesperson Arvian Mathe, Imbizo High School on the outskirts of the city, Great Zimbabwe University, Harare, Victoria Falls Academy, Gwanda and Team Zimbabwe will converge on the City of Kings.

a�?We were forced to postpone because visiting teams were still sorting out logistical issues such as accommodation and transport to Bulawayo.
