HIGHLANDERSa new signing Tapiwa Dephistara, who watched his teammates beat FC Platinum 1-0 at Mandava Stadium from the terraces, has said he is itching for game time.
The young attacking winger was signed by Bosso from Chiredzi FC just before the closure of the mid-season transfer window.
However, the Bulawayo giantsA are reportedlyA seeking the intervention of the Zifa Player Status Committee to get him cleared to play for the club afterA it emerged that Chiredzi FC have demanded a full amount for the player before issuing out his clearance.
a?I am very much eager to play for Highlanders. This is a great club with so many fans. As a player this is a dream come true and I know sooner than later I will be doing good for the club. I promise to do well,a? said Dephistara who was reportedly a cult hero in Chiredzi.
The player signed a two-year contract with Bosso but the dealA saw complicationsA after Chiredzi claimed that the 21-year-old midfielder had been cleared by executive members who had been fired.
Highlanders were advised to seek clearance for the player from the Charles Muchatukwa-led executive committee, but the Bulawayo giantsa chief executive officer Ndumiso GumedeA said after depositing $500 with the club for the clearance, Chiredzi have demanded an undisclosed full payment.
Last week Gumede said they had requested that Chiredzi reimburse them the $500 so that they deposit the money with the players status committee for pursuance of the case.
The Bosso boss said Highlanders did not err in getting clearance, signed by fired secretary George Dhliwayo.
Premier Soccer LeagueA chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele is on record saying Highlanders had to get Dephistaraas clearance from Muchatukwaas committee who is a PSL governor and the player would be registered.
