Tafadzwa "V11" Sibanda

Bosso, DeMbare finally meet at BF…V11′s greatest moment

Fungai Muderere
ITaS the Highlanders versus Dynamos blockbuster tie, the biggest fixture in Zimbabweas football menu.

When is it?

Sunday 9 September 2018. Kick-offA 3pm

What is riding on this game?

Quite a lot . . . Bosso have the chance to redeem themselves from their recent inconsistent performances. The match also presents the black and white camp with a golden opportunity to complete a double against the former champions whom they edged 1-0 in the first leg in Harare. On the other hand, DeMbare, will be looking forward to bringing their tattered campaign back on track and a draw would leave them on the verge, but not quite over the line.

What is the team news?

Bosso will be hoping for the quick recovery of dreadlocked striker Tafadzwa a?V11a? Sibanda who was substituted last Sunday when the Bulawayo giants fell 2-1 at the hands of visiting Ngezi Platinum Stars.

It also remains to be seen if Bosso will unleash new signing Tanaka Makanda. The young striker, who joined Bosso before the closure of the countryas second transfer window from South Africaas National First Division side Stellenbosch, has been waiting for his international reverse clearance.

DeMbare has been battling injuries in their dressing room following the knocks to defenders Godfrey Mukambi, vice-captain Marshal Machazane and winger Cleopas Kapupurika. Glamour Boys fans will look forward to seeing their a?problem childa? Denver Mukamba, who was on target when they beat Bulawayo City 1-2 at Emagumeni last weekend, shine again in the famous blue and white strip alongside their evergreen skipper Ocean Mushure and roving Quality Kangadzi.

Mushure, a dead ball specialist, missed action in the greater part of July because of a payment dispute with his employers. The DeMbare technical team will be without head coach Lloyd Mutasa who will be with the senior menas national team which plunges into Sundayas 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier against Congo Brazzaville.

What are they saying?

Madinda Ndlovu Bosso head coach:
a?It would help us if we win against Dynamos. Itas maybe better for the future. Fans will mock each other, thatas the way it goes. So for them itas the biggest thing.a?

Richard Chihoro DeMbare team manager:
a?Generally, all the players are up for it. Morale is very high, everyone wants it and we look forward to collecting maximum points in Bulawayo. We are glad that the bulk of the team is training.a?

The two giants are separated by seven points, with Highlanders sitting on number six on the log after amassing 36 points. DeMbare are on number 11 with 29 points.

The match comes after two postponements as a result of the countryas harmonised elections.

A fortnight ago, the Harare giants beat Bosso 2-0 in the Presidentas Inauguration Cup.
