REIGNING Mr Bulawayo Lovemore Munyamana added another silverware to his cabinet when heA� came fifth in the Light Weight Division at the recently held Arnold Classic South Africa.
HeldA� at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, the Arnold Classic is a brainchild of legendary professional body-builder, cum actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He gracedA� the three-day event that showcased 48 different sporting disciplines and eventsa�s featuring over 11a�s000 athletes from across the globe.A� For Munyamana (ABOVE), it was his debut atA� an international stage. What a way to announce his arrival to the big boys club?
a�?It was my first time to contest on the international scene and I managed to come fifth. This accolade means I qualify for major bodybuilding contests around the world,a�? he said.
Munyamana has trainer and manager Simon Gama of Bodyworks Gym and his family to thank.
a�?My wife Evelyn Mubata has come in handy in my success. She monitored my diet and encouraged me to focus. Gama put me on a strict training schedule, training twice a day before the contest,a�? he said.
Munyamana is also grateful for the kind gesture that was shown by director of Body Works Gym Nathan Greenland who chipped in with $350 for the Arnold Classic Africa entrance fee.
Meanwhile, National Federation of Zimbabwe Body Building and Fitness (NFZBBF) spokesperson Quite Shangai paid tribute to Team Zimbabwe.
