BRAGGING rights are at stake as two Central Region Division One debutants take to the field once again.
ZRP Beitbridge will host fellow newcomers Gweru City in Beitbridge at Dulibadzimu Stadium in what promises to be a thriller on Sunday afternoon.
In the first round match which was played in Gweru, Gweru City managed to beat ZRP Beitbridge by two goals to nil.
ZRP Beitbridge have been in fine form and are on second position keeping Hwahwa on their toes as they trail the leaders by four points.
The policeman will look to continue in their rich vein of form and stay in the hunt for the championship position which will guarantee them of a slot in the elite league next year.
Last year it was yet another Gweru side that topped the log standings at this same stage as Hwahwa were hanging on for dear life.
Gweru City should be well prepared if there are to claim a double over their fellow new boys as the team has been in a good run.
Gweru City were inactive last weekend as their match against Tongogara was postponed to a date yet to be established.
The inactivity of the Gweru based side might work against them come this Sunday afternoon.
In other weekend fixtures, Blanket Mine who are on cloud nine after thrashing Silo United 5-1 will lock horns against wounded FC Platinum in Zvishavane at Mandava Stadium.
FC Platinum Under-19 are on a two match losing streak and will be hoping to find their winning formulae against the Blanket based side.
MSU who were victorious against Zvishavane Stars at Mandava Stadium will host army side Tongogara at the Midlands State University (MSU) grounds.
