Zimbabwean international Matthew Rusike who recently joined Swedish top flight side Helsingborgs IF on a three-year contract says he has joined a remarkable football family and he is looking forward to delivering.
Speaking on his move, Rusike posted on the club’s official website saying he was feeling on top of the world.
“It’s a great feeling. I am very happy to be part of an amazing club and I look forward to years ahead. I am glad we finally agreed (on contract) and I am now part of the family here,” he was quoted as saying.
Rusike joins fellow Zimbabwean international Tinotenda Kadewere in the Swedish league. Kadewere signed for Djurgarden after impressing on loan.
Rusike left Halmstads BK at the end of the Swedish season after they were relegated from the top flight.
The Warriors midfielder had made an impact since joining them in July last year scoring four times in nine games, but could not save the club from the dreaded chop.
He had been linked with a move to English Premier Soccer League club Newcastle United.
