FORMER Highlanders and Bidvest Wits striker Stewart Murisa has tipped South African Premiership bound Knox Mutizwa to shine at the Johannesburg-based team.
Mutizwa is set to put pen to paper on a possible long deal at Bidvest Wits after impressing the Clever Boys technical team led by Gavin Hunt during a trial stint in mid December.
Murisa spent three seasons at Bidvest Wits under the tutelage of Roger De Sa where he played with compatriots Alois Bunjira and Charles Yohane. He also played for Dynamos and Caps United.
“Coming from a big club like Highlanders which fills a stadium when playing at home, is an advantage. When playing for a small team like Wits that takes away pressure. He just has to continue working hard and keep a high level of professionalism as most players tend to lose focus once they move abroad. He will do well judging by his performances at Highlanders and he still has age on his side. Our local league is not different from the South African league so it will not take time for Knox to adjust,” said Murisa.
Mutizwa will join fellow Zimbabwean Onismor Bhasera.
Wits are in second position behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in the South African Premier Soccer League.
