SIXTEEN schools will take part in the annual Orap Zenzele Isuzu Champions Cup at Gifford High School on 15 to 16 June.
Formerly the Orap Zenzele Chevrolet Under-20 Tournament, Auto World a�� who are the distributors of Chevrolet in Zimbabwe a�� have brought in Isuzu as the headline sponsors of the annual schools tourney.
The two-day event brings together Under-20 boysa�� and girlsa�� teams from schools in Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, Midlands and Matabeleland South provinces.
a�?This yeara��s edition of the Orap Zenzele Isuzu Champions Cup promises to be bigger and better and participating provinces, with the exception of Midlands Province, have submitted the names of schools that will be taking part.
a�?As is the norm participating schools will receive kits and balls during the tournament,a�? said an official from Orap, Nqabayezwe Nkiwane.
Orap a�� Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress a�� is a non-governmental organisation that works with marginalised, poor rural communities to empower them and eradicate poverty.
The tournament hosts, Gifford High School, will represent Bulawayo Province with an Under-20 boysa�� team while Matabeleland South Province will be represented by Manama and Malungudzi High Schools in the girlsa�� category while Tongwe and Manama High Schools will play in the boysa�� category.
Three boysa�� teams a�� Tsholotsho, Mabhikwa and Gloag High Schools a�� will represent Matabeleland North with Zwangendaba and Pashu High Schools travelling for the tournament in the girlsa�� category.
